Sometimes therapy is only one piece of what a person or family needs. If you are experiencing financial hardship, grief, addiction, homelessness, food insecurity, family difficulties, or another challenging season, the following organizations may be able to help.

The resources below are offered at no cost to eligible individuals or families, although some programs have specific eligibility requirements. Availability, hours, and eligibility can change, so please contact each organization directly before visiting.

Grief & Loss Support

GriefShare – Spartanburg

Christian Grief Recovery Support

GriefShare is a Christian-based grief recovery program for people grieving the death of a loved one. Current Spartanburg-area groups include churches such as Westminster Presbyterian Church, First Baptist Church Spartanburg, and Crossroads Baptist Church.

His Storehouse – Church at The Mill

Food Pantry

His Storehouse provides food assistance to neighbors experiencing food insecurity. The pantry allows individuals and families in need to receive food and connect with volunteers who provide practical and relational support.

TOTAL Ministries is a Christian ministry serving Spartanburg County residents experiencing financial hardship. Assistance may include:

  • Be unable to prepare meals because of physical or emotional limitations

Foster Children & Foster Families

PS I Love You provides free clothing and essential items to children in foster care and the families caring for them. Depending on eligibility and availability, resources may include:

Evans Training Center (ETC)

Christian Residential Recovery for Men

Evans Training Center provides a long-term, faith-based residential program for men seeking freedom from addiction and destructive patterns. The program focuses on spiritual transformation, personal responsibility, community, and life change through Christ.

Celebrate Recovery

Christ-Centered Recovery & Support Groups

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program for people struggling with addiction, anxiety, grief, unhealthy behaviors, relationship issues, and other life struggles.

Meetings are offered at multiple churches in the Spartanburg area. Many Celebrate Recovery meetings are free to attend, although schedules and specific offerings vary by church.

Children, Foster Care, Adoption & Family Support

Southeastern Children's Home provides services for children and families, including group home care, foster care, adoption, maternity care, and counseling.
